(PR) Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask Review

21:50:00

This review took really long and I really apologise for it. I had been testing it out really slowly as it's been really humid in Singapore as it seems like a heavier cream type which I initially thought might not work out as well on me and I wanted to provide a more accurate review on this. I actually decanted this and brought it overseas with me. If you guys had been following me, I had been to korea and the weather was really dry and cold. This sleeping mask worked like my HG Laneige water sleeping mask. I was really afraid of getting clogged pores prior to using it.

What is it:
• Vitamin E and Niacinamide excellent antioxidant and whitening effect, can immediately see the brightening and firming effect the next day (rapid effects).
• When used during the day, it can protect from sunlight and prevent skin damage.
• Maximum formulation limit of adenosine effective for wrinkle improvement and skin regeneration.
• Firm, hydrating finish with excellent adhesion.

Ingredients that's attracting me:

Niacinamide
Visibly improves appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines, dullness, and weakened skin surface/barrier.

Vitamin E
A powerful antioxidant that may help reduce free radical damage and slow the aging process of your cells. Heals parched and dehydrated skin.Adenosine

Ceramide NP
They restore moisture, fortify skin's natural barrier and help protect skin against harm from foreign elements.

Centella Asiatica Extract
Helps regenerate damaged skin.

Sodium Hyaluronate
As a natural moisturizing factor, it attracts moisture and helps retain moisture within the skin, preventing dryness after exfoliation.

However, I am not fond of an ingredient and that's my only concern 😟
Carrageenan - A pore clogging ingredient and it's really not my cup of tea as I have really sensitive skin.

It came with a transparent spatula.

It's similar to a white jelly when I first open it.

It looks heavy but it actually spreads out easily without tugging.

Does it does what it claims?
Claim 1: Vitamin E and Niacinamide excellent antioxidant and whitening effect, can immediately see the brightening and firming effect the next day (rapid effects).
Skin looks plumped up when used overnight. The weather was so drying in Korea and I did double masking. A sheetmask and the klairs sleeping mask. My skin felt very supple that there wasn't any tight feeling throughout the day although the cold air was blowing straight into my face.
Claim 2: When used during the day, it can protect from sunlight and prevent skin damage.
I haven't tried using in the day cause it might be too much for oily skin.
Claim 3: Maximum formulation limit of adenosine effective for wrinkle improvement and skin regeneration.
Like I said, skin look plumped up with those bouncy kind of effects. Effects didn't last over a day and is more visible only when I use it the night before. I use this on alternate days.
Claim 4: Firm, hydrating finish with excellent adhesion.
I can agree on the hydration part. It's really hydrating and cooling when applied. It did took quite a while to sink in to my skin if I apply too much. So a little goes along the way for me.

Summary of product:
Packaging
~ Packaged in a transparent tub with a label pasted on. I had a hard time capturing the pretty holographic reflection. Comes with a spatula.

Smell
~ Citrusy scent.

Color?
~ White.

Pros
~ Very hydrating.
~ Perfect to seal in everything as last step especially if sleeping in an air conditioned room.
~ Next morning skin looks plumped up.
~ This is great for really dehydrated skin. Sometimes my aircon is so strong that it can really still dry out my face even when I use Laneige water sleeping mask. This one is a little stronger than that.

| Cons |
~ Abit too heavy to be used as a day cream for oily skin.
~ Contains Carrageenan which is an algae extract which might clog pores. That's why it's not an everyday thing for me.
~ I feel it's messy to scoop out lol.

Thoughts
A good mask for dehydrated skin but not really for people that has sensitivity towards Algae extracts. For my oily skin, I found it just nice using it 3-4 times a week instead of daily. It takes some time to absorb too hence day time use is definitely not for me. One thing I really love about would be the effects. Skin looks really bouncy, I can't describe. But really, just remove the algae extract, I promise I would be back for more :( I had been patch testing all along and only started slattering all over my face when I was visiting in Korea since I was desperate for something that's heavier which could trap moisture on my skin.
