Missha - Line Friends Matte & Glossy Lip Rouge Lipstick Review

19:28:00

Hi all! Today my review is on these really cute lippies product from Missha. Missha had a line friends collaboration previously but came into Singapore market only recently - even now they still have it instores when Korea stores had already moved on to the minions collaboration :p

Here's the whole collaboration. I gotten the cushion, dual eyeshadow sticks, lipsticks and lip balm from this range.

You can read my magic cushion review here:

What is it:

Missha Matte Lip Rouge [Line Friends Edition]

[Features]
Clear HD pigmentation.
Strong & Comfortable wearing with a single touch.
Lightweight soft fit, matte texture spreads out lightly.
Argan oil, and rose hip oil included.
Airish Fitting Formula, Even Color Formula, Skin Conditioning Complex

Missha Glossy Lip Rouge [Line Friends Edition]

[Features]
Glossy melting texture.
Water color pigmentation without stickiness.
Lightweight soft fit, matte texture spreads out lightly.
Argan oil, and rose hip oil included.
Airish Fitting Formula, Even Color Formula, Skin Conditioning Complex

It's nice to see lipsticks coming with SPF too, since Singapore is very sunny and we can't apply sunblock on our lips. So these lipsticks are great plus you can just touch up for a fresh layer!

Missha x Line Friends.

So when I went to the store, I told myself 3 was the max. I can only get 3 lipsticks. One cost $23.90(if I didn't remember it wrongly). So it costed me almost $72 to buy these 3 lippies omg. I picked out these 3, MPK04(matt), GPRK01(gloss), MRD01(matt) among all the shades.

It comes with a white transparent aryclic cover packaging - which has it's pros and cons, you have to clean it often cause when your lipsticks get stained on the cover from the inside, it will look really gross. But the pro is you can easily pick the color you want without having to flip down below to see the shade.

Here's a close up of the shades.

Here I have them swatched.
If you compared the matt and the gloss, the gloss one looks like a tinted lip balm. The color wasn't very pigmented too.
Only MRD01 stayed on with a tint left behind.
GPK01 is great for retouch without leaving bad chapped looking lips.

Let's do a claim check for the MATT ROGUE lipstick first:
Does it does what it claims?
Claim 1: Clear HD pigmentation.
The matt lipstick is indeed more pigmented than the glossy ones.
Claim 2: Strong & Comfortable wearing with a single touch.
It's easy to reapply even without lipbalm on. However, I use lip scrub often to exfloliate dead skin cells on my lips so it might be the reason too.
Claim 3: Lightweight soft fit, matte texture spreads out lightly.
It's suppose to be matt but I feel its more of a 80% matt and 20% gloss look. Not those velvety kinds.
Claim 4: Airish Fitting Formula, Even Color Formula, Skin Conditioning Complex
The color is consistent, overall a good one.

Let's do a claim check for the GLOSSY ROGUE lipstick next:
Does it does what it claims?
Claim 1: Glossy melting texture.
Yes, it's glossy but not highly pigmented. It somwhat resembles a lip balm with a higher pigmentation.
Claim 2: Water color pigmentation without stickiness.
Yes, your lips feels very moist without any stickiness. It glides on smoothly and improves chap lips.
Claim 3:
Lightweight soft fit, matte texture spreads out lightly.
I don't know why it's matt as stated but anyway the gloss one glides smoothly, even better than the matt ones. It has a very natural finishing.
Claim 4: Airish Fitting Formula, Even Color Formula, Skin Conditioning Complex
The color is natural and gives you healthy looking lips.
