Naruko - Tea Tree Shine Control & Blemish Clear Mask Review

21:41:00

Naruko was trending in the ABcommunity recently and I was tempted to reach out for their tea tree range of products. Earlier on I bought this mask with their tea tree serum while I was shopping in JB. I don't know why everyone was raving about this mask at first plus I was hesitating with the ingredient list as there was Alcohol inside, but now I really know why many love this mask!

Directions:
1. On clean face, after applying toner, remove mask from package
2. Apply to face and adjust accordingly
3. Leave on for 5-10 minutes, then remove.
4. Continue with rest of skincare routine.

The back of the packaging had directions and ingredients listed on. It's a simple matt packaging which doesn't look fanciful.

The ingredients list looks rather hmmmmm, alcohol is listed as the 3rd ingredient. If you are allergic to alcohol please avoid using this mask. Not so sure why the good stuffs, anti inflammatory, antioxidants etc of ingredients are listed right below in lower concentrations? Anyway, I thought it was an overrated product so I didn't look forward for any game changer effects. But I was SO WRONG.

The serum is really watery and can be patted down and absorbed into your skin easily.

No heaviness, tacky or sticky finishing.

I took a closed up photo on the mask. It's like a cotton sheet mask? Anyway the fit was comfortable but a little small for my face. Not much folds/creases. Mask is thin and seems to tear easily if you pull it too hard.

Does it does what it claims?
Claim 1: Calm imitated skin and reduce blemishes and acne control with this mask.
I was having some sensitivity with my right cheek and I pulled out this sheet. After 25 minutes, the area was soothed instantly. I felt so refreshed and I really love the mask. The next morning the sensitive area turned into two little comedones without redness, I guess they were clogged so it was really red the previous night.
Claim 2: This activated carbon mask is designed to absorb excess oil and prevent acne.
The mask was soothing but I wouldn't say it prevents acne. Maybe you need to use it long term to see more visible effect. My skin is less oily these days but I derived that it might be the actives I'm using and not because of this mask.
Claim 3: Cleanses pores and balances sebum production while providing hydration to reduce blemishes and post blemish marks.
My skin looks more refreshed and brightened after using the mask. My blemishes still look the same, maybe cause I had only used it once so not much effects are seen. I can feel the instant hydration it provide for my skin without heaviness.

I would but maybe when they have a sale? Cause the Leaders Tea Tree Mask ($3.10 is very much on par with this($3.30), which is priced slightly lower.) But I would really recommend this mask for it's really good and does what it claims. But if you are sensitive to alcohol, pls avoid this!
